Since classes are limited to 10, Access carefully selects every student and family to guarantee a homogeneous program in a small, goal oriented setting.
The selection criteria includes:
an initial tour and visit by appointment, to witness the program in action
an understanding of neuroplasticity (reading: The Woman Who Changed Her Brain by Barbara Arowsmith)
an identifiable match to the 19 learning disabilities, listed on this website
those with an average or above average intelligence
those who do not show or have a record of behavioral, emotional, psychological issues or brain defects
understanding that the program requires at least two years
an initial assessment test to determine candidate suitability
As parents, we have noticed significant improvement in Jenny's overall academic participation and performance. Jenny has improved in self-initiating her homework, when in the past, it was more of a challenge. Jenny's handwriting has vastly improved as well. Jenny has made great strides in test taking and understanding math concepts, as well as English.

My child would have never survived in high school without Access and its programs. She is doing amazingly well. – Mike, Parent
